Calculations
by Murphy McBride

Hang laundry out to dry
long, short, then long again,
the line's Bell curve
Walk past, touching for cool places
where sun and wind have not
factored out the water.
Collect the dry clothes,
sorting by size or function.
Carry huge armfuls,
bury your face in the scent of summer.
